Become a fan of St. Luke's! www.facebook.com/StLukesChurch LENT As is the custom during Lent, beginning the 26th, at 6:30 pm. Friday will be the Lenten Suppers and Program, The program is entitled "Before the Sapphire Throne" and it is subtitled 'how to fashion your own spiritual practice'. There will be introductions to techniques and habits of prayer and ways of integrating these with active service. There will be groups to offer support and an encouraging audience for giving an account of our progress. This is all in accordance with this year's diocesan emphasis on spiritual development. ELECTIONS 2010 In parish voting on January 31, four people were elected to four open seats on the vestry: Birkin Weith, Dianne Zimmerman and Karen Stubaus were elected to three-year terms and Karen Siegel was elected to a one-year term. They join current vestry members Ted Latham, Chris Kozub, Joe Mauro, Ann Marie Stone, Nancy Torok, and Katharine Young, as well as Jim Jarvis, who was elected junior warden. Convention delegates are John Sharp, Carl Klapper, and Peg Jarvis. Katherine Young is the alternate. Special thanks go to Amy Geoffroy, Nino LaStella and Lori Wolfe for their time and dedication to serving St. Luke’s on the vestry.
Remember the sacrifices of our Armed Forces, past and present. |
