A Guide to Lemonade on the Lawn You will need to bring the cookies (your favorites, but try to bring a variety) totaling roughly 3-4 pounds. The rest of the supplies are in the pantry. The pantry should be open, otherwise, locate the Rector. As far as the supplies go, most everything should be in the pantry. – You’ll need napkins and cold cups. Arrange the cookies on trays (under the cabinet that opens to the hallway) or in baskets (behind pantry door). Prepare 2 pitchers of lemonade, 2 of crystal light, 1 of iced tea, 1 of kool-aid and 1 of water. Put the crystal light in a different type of pitcher so it is obvious which ones are sugar-free, or mark it. There are pitchers in the pantry. The pitchers are all approx. 2 quarts, but we’ve found that the recipe for these powdered drinks comes out too sweet, so figure amounts accordingly (try one less scoop). Refrigerate the drinks. You will need two folding (card, not big) tables, one for drinks and one for cookies. They should be by the door to the Memorial Garden. Setup the tables on the sidewalk. Tablecloths are available if you wish to decorate your “stand”. If the weather does not permit us to be outside, you will need to announce that fact during the announcements and we can have it in Fryer Hall. You are the oblation bearers (bring up the gifts); grab a friend if you need help. Leave church after communion, you can use a cart to bring everything to the door in the back hallway (by the nursery) that leads out to the Memorial Garden porch. (Be careful, the door will lock behind you.) Let me know if we are running low on anything so that I can restock the pantry. Laura Tramontin, 732 321-1335 Have fun and thank you! |
