LENT 2010

Ash Wednesday this year is February 17 (services at 10 am and 7 pm), and we will, as is the custom during Lent, have Lenten Suppers and Program on Fridays, beginning the 26th, at 6:30 pm.

The program is entitled "Before the Sapphire Throne" and it is subtitled 'how to fashion your own spiritual practice'. There will be introductions to techniques and habits of prayer and ways of integrating these with active service. There will be groups to offer support and an encouraging audience for giving an account of our progress. This is all in accordance with this year's diocesan emphasis on spiritual development.

HEALING MINISTRY

On the first Sunday of each month, we provide an opportunity for a more intense time of healing prayer. After participants receive communion they proceed to the Holy Family Chapel with a member of the Healing Team. Call the church office, or speak to Fr. Percival, Charlotte Gudorp, Peg Jarvis, or Betty Waters, for more information.

Please take a moment……
And walk over to the portico connecting the church with the education building.
A plaque has been placed on the brick wall in "loving memory" of David Reece Gaskill and all who eternally rest in St. Luke's Memorial Garden.
What a peaceful setting in which to pray.
